Marketing Signals

Refreshing the digital identity of an established marketing agency.

Marketing Signals felt that, despite having a clear sense of their own identity and internal culture, their existing brand and website no longer reflected the quality and personality of the agency.

I worked with the team to refine and expand on the visual identity of the business before bringing the updated brand to life through the design of a new agency website.

Brand identity development

The project began with the development of a more cohesive and expressive brand system that better reflected the agency’s personality, culture, and ambitions.

Working collaboratively with the team, I created a comprehensive set of brand guidelines covering typography, colour systems, logo refinement, iconography, photography direction, and wider visual applications.

Alongside the visual identity work, the project also included the development of supporting brand foundations such as the company mission statement, values, and tone of voice guidelines, helping create greater consistency across both internal and external communications.

Website design

The next stage of the project focused on designing a new agency website that could better showcase the company's work, culture, and services.

The process began by defining the structure of the site around the journeys of prospective clients and potential employees. Working closely with the team, I helped establish how information should be organised across the website and explored ways of presenting content through modular layouts that would feel both engaging and easy to navigate.

Alongside the structural work, I also contributed to the copywriting of key areas of the site, including the services, about, culture and careers pages. Building on the research and brand strategy work completed earlier in the project, this involved helping articulate the agency's offering, values and personality in a tone of voice that felt authentic and consistent.

The visual identity was then brought to life through the UI, using bold layouts, dynamic case studies and interactive storytelling to communicate the breadth of the agency's expertise.

Outcome

The project helped reposition Marketing Signals with a stronger and more cohesive digital identity that better reflected the agency’s personality and creative direction.

Working across both branding and website design allowed me to help shape not only the visual language of the company, but also the way it presented itself to clients, collaborators, and prospective team members online.
